Girl Scout CookiesIn case you haven't already been asked to buy a box... The Helena Girl Scout cookie selling season is already underway. In honor of Girl Scouting’s 100th anniversary, they have a new cookie called the Savannah Smiles. All the cookies will be on sale until March 3rd.
The other cookies are: Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Savannah Smiles (100th anniversary cookie), Dulce de Leche and Thank U Berry Munch. Each box is $3.50.
The delivery of cookies will be around Feb 10th and they will also start their outside sales around town if you don't know any girl scouts.

Three generations of Soldiers

I didn’t know what suboxine was so I googled it.it is used to treat opiate addiction. The film strips mean that they can be placed under the tongue to dissolve like some of those cold treatments.

-Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and warrant arrest from the Cunningham Drive apartment parking lot (parking lot, garage). Recovered were two suboxine sublingual film strips, two metal drinking straws with residue, two metal cans with residue, an empty suboxone sublingual film strip and eight syringes.
-Criminal mischief from the 4700 block of Highway 17 (parking lot, garage). Damaged was a rear rubber brake line for a 1991 Toyota pickup in the amount of $20.
-Domestic violence, harassment from the 600 block of Elvira Road, Helena (Residence/Home) from the Shelby County Sheriff
Dec. 28
-Criminal mischief from Highway 261 at County Road 52 East (highway, street). Damaged was a vehicle windshield in the amount of $200.
Dec. 29
-Criminal mischief and criminal trespassing from the 1100 block of Townhouse Drive (commercial). Damaged were four windows in the amount of $800, copper in the amount of $1,000 and a fire extinguisher in the amount of $200.
-Criminal mischief from County Road 52, Helena (Construction) Damaged was one Thompson Caterpillar valued at $2,000 from the Shelby County Sheriff
Dec. 30
-Criminal mischief from the 6000 block of West Vale Circle (residence, home). Damaged was brick siding in the amount of $150.
-Leash law violation from Sunnybrook Lane (highway, street).
-Failure to appear from Highway 17 at Jet Pep (parking lot, garage).
-Identity theft from the 2200 block of Old Cahaba Place (residence, home). Stolen were credit card charges in the amount of $600.
-Domestic incident from Bowron Road (residence, home).
-Damage to property from the Depot on Highway 261 (parking lot, garage). Damaged was a passenger door, rear quarter panel and rear passenger rim in the amount of $3,000.
Dec. 31
-Recovered property from County Road 13 and County Road 93 (highway, street). Recovered was a Home Depot credit card.
-Theft of property first degree from the 8500 block of Shady Trail (residence, home). Stolen was a Ruger .270-caliber model 77 rifle with a Zeiss scope valued at $2,600, a Ruger 10/22 .22-caliber rifle with scope valued at $350 and a pair of earrings valued at $500.

Section 30-1-4 - Minimum age for contracting marriage.
A person under the age of 16 years is incapable of contracting marriage
Section 30-1-5 - Consent of parents and bond required for marriage of certain minors.
If the person intending to marry is at least 16 years of age and under 18 years of age and has not had a former wife or husband, the judge of probate shall require the consent of the parents or guardians of the minor to the marriage, to be given either personally or in writing, and, if the latter, the execution thereof shall be proved. The judge of probate shall also require a bond to be executed in the penal sum of two hundred dollars ($200), payable to the State of Alabama, with condition to be void if there is no lawful cause why such marriage should not be celebrated.
