8th Grade Beats Lions!
Congratulations to the 8th grade football team who beat the Briarwood Lions 25-20 last night in a great game!  Defense wins championships and last night the Panther Defense came to play stopping the Lions on three different drives at the goal line allowing only two fieldgoals on those possessions! The offensive line worked hard to open up big holes for the running attack led by Nash Adams, Austin Davis & Devon Walker. Riley Davis, QB also had a touchdown pass to Big John Brown.  Panthers are on the prowl!

The 7th grade football team played hard but had their first loss of the season last night to the Lions 24-13.  Kopeland Rosser caught a pass from Lawson Peoples and ran it in scoring a touchdown.  On the final play of the game, with only seconds left, Dionte Tolbert had a rumbling, tumbling, stumbling, spin moving, juking, zig-zagging run down the field to score as time ran out!

Next Thursday, 9/27/12, both teams take on Millbrook at home.  Kickoff will be at 6:00 at PHS.  Please come out and support your Helena Panther football teams!!!!
