Recruit for the Long Haul
The national NFIB magazine, called NFIB My Business has Helena's Carmella Ice was identified as part of an article on “The Art of Hiring”. They were chosen to represent the Retail section of the businesses. Sean Sullivan's part was entitled, "Recruit for the Long Haul" Full Article
Best Halloween House in Helena
I am publishing this on Sunday night, so I am still collecting judges ballots. I will get the last gift certificate for the winner on Monday morning so that way I can award them after I count all the votes.
I ran up to Tennessee to the Geek Media Expo and met two Helenites who are on a mission to bring fun and imagination to Alabama. Helena's Tim Stacks and Steve Charleson are bringing fandom to Alabama with actors, and artists from TV shows, film, and popular media at the Alabama Phoenix Festival. In fact they were surrounded with actors from shows like Star Trek, Futurama, and Hunger Games when I stopped by their booth.
If you check out their page you will see they have already booked several star studded guests and their event is still 7 months away. I was able to pull them away for a few minutes and do a podcast (which I am editing). We also have a guest appearance from one of the stars of the Hunger Games movie .
