Congrats to Helena Middle School football teams for their win over Riverchase and for their first undefeated season. Way to Go! I can't wait until this class plays on our Helena High School team*.
Here is a Ken People's game summary:
Panthers go UNDEFEATED beating Riverchase 35-0 in a cat fight where Helena came out on top! The 8th grade team wins the Conference Championship and is the first HMS team to have an undefeated season! Way to go Panthers!!!! At half the score was 0-0, Helena went on the attack in the third quarter scoring 3 touchdowns. Rushing touchdowns were scored by Nash Adams with two, Riley Davis on a quarterback sneak & Devon Walker. Way to go offensive line for opening up those holes! John Brown also scored on a touchdown pass from Riley Davis! The defense held strong not allowing Riverchase to score at all!Bus Route
The 7th grade team also came out victorious with a 22-12 win over the Riverchase Panthers! Landon Green threw two touchdown passes to Trevor Bell and one to Seth Jolley with Seth Jolley also scoring on the two point conversion. The defense worked hard to contain Riverchase and was able to secure the victory!
Thank you to all the fans who came out to support the team this year! Thanks also to the band, cheerleaders, dance team and the Panther who entertain the crowd and keep the Panther Spirit flowing! WE ARE PROUD TO BE A HELENA PANTHER!!!!
Jason passed this along to me:
You might want to share this info on two HIS bus routes for Friday that just came out:
"We will try to load the Panther bus (05-16) a few minutes early which means students may be getting to their stop a little early. The Panther bus will then return to HES and pick up the students who ride the Yellow bus. This means these students will be getting home later than usual."
Don't forget the Helena Museum is open during the weekend. You can always tell when the banner is up. He has been working hard to finish the bottom with new exhibits but you can go upstairs and check out the impressive displays including an limited exhibit of WWII items. Also Laura Brookhart designed a postcard which you can buy at the Museum. A portion of each sale goes to support the museum.
