Helena Archaeology
Laura Brookhart wrote a great article about all the Helena residents who gathered to go through dirt that was removed from around the Eureka #4 mine with Ken Penhale and Brian Wallis. They recovered lots of items that were glass and metal which will be taken back to the museum to cleaned up. I think Ken and Brian will have another before it gets too cold and I will post when I heard about it.

Weekend Fall Festivals
I have starting to put together the weekend events early. I know the Braelinn Haunted House will launch. There is the 1st Baptist, Church of Cahaba Bend and Helena Methodist festivals. Papa Saias and Rios will have Halloween events. If you have a event this weekend in Helena that is open to the public then please send it to me and I will add it to the calender.
Also this Thursday will be the deadline for Best Halloween House in Helena. I need to get the homes lined up for the judges so we can have a winner before Halloween night.
