I wanted to showcase all the great artwork people that students and adults have been posting around the web for the Helena Mascot and Color. I did email the committee because some people were asking if Helena could stay panthers and wildcast even though Pelham and Shelby Co use those mascots. They said the Shelby County Board of Education verified to the committee that there are no restrictions on colors or mascots for our new high school.
Mike Miller actually recorded the public meeting at HMS that discussed the process and sent me an audio file which I will you download or listen to it here: MP3 of HMS Mascot meeting

10/17-11/2 Community Nominations. Box at City Hall, Library and they are should have online)
11/19-11/23 Ballot Created and process narrowed down
11/27 Voting on Colors and Mascot
11/29 Run off vote if needed
11/30 Mascot and Colors revealed to public
